Heat Shields

Beautifully finished Silver powder-coating paint resists high heats associated in the engine bay. Looks like the original finish with all the durability of powdercoating.

Because of the type of alloy steel that Nissan heatshields have, we can not electro-plate this piece with any great success. It is for this reason that we refinish this piece in a lustrous, yet durable powdercoated finsh. It will resist the temperatures in an engine bay and will not peel or blister. Powdercoating also offers one hundred times the salt resistance to that of conventional enamels from the factory. Ask us about non-emissions heat shields as well, where and when available.

Beautifully restored Black powder-coating offers the same durability, but with a liitle different look. Perfect for that custom Z-car restoration, or just to be different.

Other folks in the business will yellow-zinc finish this piece and that is not the true correct color from the factory. We strongly feel that the very durable powdercoated option is closest to the original feel and color. This very durable finish offers a level of protection unlike other finishes available. For the custom Z-car restoration, we recommend either a black (as seen left) or a gunmetal grey. This is a very close match to the charcoal grey color used on early Z-car stock hubcaps.
